Social media for software and online businesses: show the problem, then the product
There is nothing to hold and nothing to unbox, so the post has to make the value visible.
Software and online businesses have a particular challenge on social media: the product is invisible until someone uses it. A post that lists features reads like every other launch page. What works is making the problem recognisable, then showing the product solving it.
Lead with the problem, not the feature
"Chasing invoices every Friday?" is a post people stop for. "Now with automated reminders" is not. Start with the situation your customer already knows, then bring in what you built.
Show the product in use
A real screen, a short flow, a before and after. Screenshots work well when they are cropped to one thing and explained in a sentence. A full dashboard nobody can read does not.
Turn your updates into posts
Every release is a story: what customers asked for, what you changed, what it means for them. Write it as a benefit first and a changelog second.
Teach before you pitch
- A short how-to that solves a small problem, with or without your product.
- A mistake people in your field make, and how to avoid it.
- A behind-the-scenes look at how you decided something.
- An honest answer to a question your customers keep asking.
Be specific about who it is for
"For teams" is for nobody. "For freelancers who invoice in more than one currency" is for someone. Specific posts attract the right people and repel the wrong ones, which is what you want.
Keep proof real
Share real numbers and real customer words only, with permission. If you are early and have none, show the product working and be honest that you are early. That is a story people like.
Where Swara fits
Choose "Software, app or online business" in Swara and the posts are written around the problem, the product in use and what is new, with a call to action such as try it or see how it works. Screenshots you add are shown as screens in a clean frame, not styled like a product ad. Nothing is invented, and you approve every post. Try it for your product.
